El Tablero Shopping Center is an outdoor shopping center in the south of Gran Canaria. Its convenient location means it's great for shopping in Gran Canaria, whether you are looking for clothing, things for the home, a new mobile phone or some groceries. There are also several bars and restaurants to enjoy a bite to eat on your visit.
The center first opened on 22nd March 2013 and is the perfect addition to the south of Gran Canaria. The outdoor style of the center makes it nice and airy with shade which is important for those hot days.
El Tablero Shops
The center has plenty of shops, Claire's Accessories in prime position on one entrance and Hiperdino Supermarket on the other with car parking. At Claire's you can find gifts, hair accessories and jewellery, they also do in store ear piercing.
Hiperdino Supermarket
This Hiperdino has the largest cheese counter I've ever seen in a supermarket. Those who have special diet requirements will be glad to find a great selection of gluten free and lactose free products in here. The layout is spaced out so even on a busy day it's not too bad.
There is a fresh fish and meat counter, vegetable aisle and small bakery with freshly made bread.You should be able to get most things you need here for your holiday or weekly shop if you live on the island.
Clothing, Decor, Toys
BASE sports and Foot On Mars are where to go for your sportswear from trainers to backpacks, t-shirts and training gear. Pull and Bear, ZARA and Stradivarius are great for finding the latest trends. There are also lingerie shops and classic clothing in Encuentro and Punta Roma.
If you are looking for some home goods, gifts or decor then D'Kasa on the top floor is the place to go. They are also the official go to place to buy Yankee Candles in Gran Canaria, jars and wax melts. There’s nothing like the delicious smell of a good quality candle scenting the home and they also make nice gifts.
Across from D'Kasa is toy shop Kinder where you will find gifts for the younger members of the family, very handy for birthdays and Christmas shopping.
Services
Multioptica opticians has a good selection of sunglasses and does in-store eye tests. They often have 2 for 1 deals on branded and non-branded frames. There is a very conveniently located hair salon on the top floor, with a lottery shop and phone shops downstairs.
Free WIFI
El Tablero shopping center has a free wifi which allows 2 hours connection in total from the time of logging on. Even on a busy day it has a pretty good connection. Hiperdino also have a WIFI connection for customers.
El Tablero Restaurants
As with most shopping centers in Gran Canaria, the top floor is for restaurants and let me say it has a fantastic view. Burger King is in prime position with indoor and huge outdoor seating area. La Sureña and 100 Montaditos are in the same local and do tasty food and beer buckets. There is also a chill out style desserts bar.
On the bottom floor is where you will find The Corner Smoothie Bar where you can get breakfast, sandwiches or hot meals. They do an amazing Sacher chocolate cake and great coffee. They have indoor and outdoor seating where you can enjoy the sunshine.
The whole center is open air, so the shops have their own air condition units and the roof is open. You can see right over to Sonnneland to Palm Oasis Hotel, Dunas Mirador Maspalomas and mountain view on the other side.
