Gran Canaria Waterparks

Visiting a waterpark while on holiday is a must do and in Gran Canaria you can choose at the time of writing you can choose between 2 waterparks in Gran Canaria, Aqualand Maspalomas or Lago Taurito Waterpark.

We talk here as well of the new waterpark that is being built and the waterparks in Gran Canaria that have shut down in the past.

Aqualand Maspalomas

Aqualand Maspalomas is the biggest waterpark on the island, just minutes away from Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas thats a fantastic day out, if you are staying in the Puerto Rico area you will need to get the bus, taxi or hire a car for the day.

Lago Taurito

Lago Taurito is located in the resort of Taurito just minutes away from Puerto Rico. This waterpark is a bit smaller than Aqualand Maspalomas but is perfect for those staying in Puerto de Mogan, Taurito or Puerto Rico as is the closest one to them.

As well if you are staying in Taurito in one of the Paradise Hotels you have free entrance to the waterpark so if you are looking for a Hotel with waterpark deal in Gran Canaria this is the one.

Siam Park Gran Canaria

In October 2017 the works to build what they promoters have called the best waterpark in the world started.

Siam Park Gran Canaria will be situated in el Barranco del Veril just outside playa del Ingles and if its anything like its sister waterpark in Tenerife with the same name it will be another must thing to do in Gran Canaria.

Closed for good 

Ocean Park Maspalomas

The ocean park closed its doors in 2008 you can still see the waterpark from the outside near Holidayworld Maspalomas.

Atlantida Puerto Rico

Atlantida Waterpark was Puerto Rico waterpark a fantastic addition to the area which sadly closed in 2009, it has been closed since then and despite the numerous rumours that is going to open again , The Atlantida Waterpark is going to be demolished and is going to become a shopping center the building work started in March 2018.
