The Radisson Blu Mogán hotel opened its doors in December 2016. This 4 star hotel is located in Puerto de Mogán in the south-west of Gran Canaria.
There are 3 types of room at the the Radisson Blu Mogan, superior, standard and junior.
For research purposes and a bit of relaxation my Fiancé and I checked into a superior room for the evening. Reception is incredible and quick which is complimented with a glass of cava, juice or water.
Radisson Blu Mogan Superior Room
The superior room which you will see in this article is comfortable and modern with everything you could need from a proper hairdryer to fluffy towels, slippers and a shoe horn!
There are electric outlets all over the room so you can conveniently charge your gadgets and there is even a USB charging socket on the desk. There is great wardrobe space for all of your holiday outfits and plenty of space to stash your luggage out of the way and an iron and board in the wardrobe.

The bathroom has a separate area for the toilet, double sink, bath and rain shower. Toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel are provided which is great if you are travelling light.
There are tea making facilities and minibar so if you are chilling out in the room you can enjoy snacks and drinks. The room has very good lighting, which is good for applying makeup and reading at night. The smart TV allows you to screen share from a device, it also has a Youtube app.

The beds are bright and very comfy with plenty of pillows, it's like sleeping on a cloud. There is a sofa and chair on the other side of the room and then the sliding doors lead out onto the patio which is decked out in artificial grass, 3 large sunloungers and patio furniture. The rooms have air conditioning which is activated once the sliding doors are closed, it's preset at a nice temperature which is lovely on a balmy Summer night.
Radisson Blu Mogan Pools
There are 2 swimming pools at the Radisson Blu Mogan. One has entertainment such as waterpolo and aqua aerobics while the other is a quiet pool, so depending on how you feel you can choose where to spend the day.
Walking into the salt water pool for the first time was incredible. The temperature was just right and the depth is great for kids or shorter people who don't like very deep water. I especially liked the walk in feature. We had a good swim in this one and the sea water didn't bother us at all in fact it felt great!

The Quiet pool is more relaxed and is great for couples and adults who just want to relax. There are jacuzzis and lifeguards on both pools. There are also plenty of sunbeds and parasols so there was no need to reserve beds. The hotel does provide beach towels for use around the pool, which can be found in the hotel room.
One of my favourite parts of our stay was the food! We had booked half-board so that was evening meal and breakfast the next day. After a morning of swimming we decided to have lunch at Il Taglio Pool Bar. I really didn't know what to expect but we ordered the Mediterranean salad, potato wedges and the Iberian Classic to share. It was very delicious and certainly gave us high hopes for our evening meal.

That night we headed down to The Larder for the evening dinner buffet. The furnishings are modern and sleek and the atmosphere just right. After ordering some drinks we headed on over to the buffet and were blown away by the variety of food on offer including gluten free options! I had some delicious Hake with Canarian potatoes and there was even a Sushi bar! I must say the dessert buffet was my favourite and I did manage to polish off several mini chocolate cakes. (They were mini after all!)

WIFI is free and fast throughout the hotel grounds and in the rooms. We walked all over the complex, from the rooms to the restaurants and pools, the WIFI signal was strong and there was no awkward signing in, just one log in at the beginning of our stay.
If you need to destress then the yoga deck or solarium might be just your thing and both are away from the main pool areas. Other facilities at the Radisson Blu Mogan include VIC kids club, tennis courts, climbing wall, a gym and a Spa (which I hope to try next time).
The underground parking is perfect if you have a rent a car during your stay. A very short walk away and visible in the photo above of the pool is a shopping center with Hiperdino supermarket and several other shops, bars and restaurants.
If you carry on walking, you will find yourself at Mogán beach and harbour where you will find many more restaurants along the promenade and you can also go on a boat trip or enjoy the Friday market.
What do you think? Would you like to stay here? I know I want to go back as soon as possible!
