There are 2 official Subways in Gran Canaria, one in Playa del Inglés, the other in Las Palmas. Great for a delicious snack on a beach or shopping day. With fresh sandwiches made hot or cold, your personalised sandwich is prepared in front of you with fresh ingredients at the counter.
The popular Subway fillings are available including tuna, chicken teriyaki and cheese salad. There are jalapeños (pretty hot) and Chipotle sauce if you feel like something spicy.
Personally I always find the ingredients fresh and the staff prepare the sandwiches in front of you (wearing gloves and hats) The rainbow cookies are to die for, although I don’t think I’m the only person who thinks that as they are always the best sellers. Prices are normal Subway prices around the same price you would pay for a Menu deal in McDonalds, but with free refills on soft drinks.
There is a freezer with ice-cream so if you are a fan of Ben and Jerry’s you can pick up a tub there. There are also freshly baked cookies every day so make sure you have room for dessert. We love the double chocolate chip!
Subway is perfect for hot days when you feel like a light meal, need something to take to the beach or chill out on your balcony. They have a fridge with ice cold drinks and a selection of crisps. Both establishments have seating area, the one at Las Palmas is indoor and Playa del Inglés is great for people watching.
