E commerce in Spain has had quite an eventful week, first with company INDITEX launching their online shops for Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius and Oysho and today Amazon Spain have opened their doors.
Although Amazon has been up and running for sometime now, it's surprising that Spain seems to be last to have a place of their own. Amazon.co.uk have previously been offering free shipping to Spain when you spent over £25, however now that the Spanish Amazon site is open, it is offering free shipping to mainland Spain and very cheap shipping to Gran Canaria.
This is fantastic news for shopping online in Gran Canaria, many people do online shop, but there are also plenty of people who are still behind and hopefully this will open things up and encourage local businesses too.
What do you think of Amazon.es? Will you be ordering online with them as opposed to other Amazon shops this year?
